Libby York is a jazz singer renowned for her deep connection to the lyrics she sings and her subtle improvisations on melodies. She does not rely on vocal pyrotechnics to engage her audience, instead opting for a more intimate approach that makes each song feel like a personal story.  York’s cool style is reminiscent of past legends like Peggy Lee and June Christy, but her conversational style, hip phrasing, superb sense of time, and deep connection to a song’s lyrics demonstrate that the art of masterful storytelling is alive and well in the 21st century.

Tom Vaitsas is a renowned jazz pianist who has performed with legendary musicians such as Von Freeman, Dee Dee Bridgewater, and Russell Malone. He started his musical journey in Chicago in 1992 while completing his Bachelor of Arts and music degrees from Northern Illinois University (NIU). From 2000 to 2008, Vaitsas embarked on European tours with blues legends Lurie and Carrie Bell while maintaining a presence in Chicago between trips. Known for his superb technique, Vaitsas continues to captivate audiences with his soulful playing and versatility in various musical groups.
