Join us for a special evening under the stars at the Tennessee Williams Key West Festival, featuring a free outdoor screening of A Streetcar Named Desire, one of Williams’ most acclaimed works.
Whether you’re looking for a romantic date night or a fun night out with friends, our outdoor movie night at Tropic Cinema is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a classic film. Bring your folding chair and settle in for a memorable evening on Eaton Street.
The story of A Streetcar Named Desire is centered around the character of Blanche DuBois (Vivien Leigh), a former schoolteacher who moves in with her sister, Stella Kowalski (Kim Hunter), and her husband, Stanley (Marlon Brando), in New Orleans. Blanche’s arrival disrupts the already volatile relationship between Stella and Stanley, leading to conflict and tension within the Kowalski household.
• Please don’t forget your folding chairs to watch the movie. The movie will be playing outside on the street and begins after sunset (after 7:00 p.m.)
• Concessions will be available from Tropic Cinema
