Dr. Brian Magrane will use his vast knowledge of Florida Shipwreck Treasure to teach the audience to “read” coins. Coins provide clues to world events and alliances. The heraldic symbolism stamped on both sides of the coins is imperative for archeologists to know the submerged artifacts’ period and history. Dr. Magrane will take the “My Sea CIn Collection ” of Florida Treasure coins to show the uniqueness and beauty of these shipwreck treasures of both the Nuestra de Atocha of the 1622 Fleet and the vast gold coins of the 1715 Fleet.
