On Saturday, August 9, the Key West Cooking School will host renowned local chef Paul Menta and Key West Rum Fest founder Neil Lindsey for a special series of events featuring the island’s favorite crustacean, the Florida Spiny lobster., Chef Paul will host two special cooking demonstrations at the Key West Cooking School, showcasing his award-winning Lobster Enchilados – the dish that triumphed over Chef Gordon Ramsay. Tickets are $175 and include featured food, drinks, and gratuity. A portion of the ticket goes to the Key West Cooking School Culinary Arts Scholarship at the College of the Florida Keys.
In addition to delicious Enchilados, participants will learn the proper techniques for cutting, cooking, and seasoning Florida Spiny Lobster, guided by Chef Paul’s expert instruction. Guests will enjoy a selection of rum cocktails and a delectable rum cake to complement the meal. Neil Lindsey will share his knowledge of rum and mixology with Bad Bitch First Legal Rum-soaked fruit, the Hemingway Daiquiri, and Cuba Libre.
