Prepare to plunge into the depths of both the Atlantic and the Gulf of Mexico! The College of the Florida Keys “Swim Around Key West” brings in swimmers from across the globe to partake in this unique 20K. The race begins and ends at Higgs Beach, one of the most popular in the Keys, and passes through the waters surrounding the iconic Southernmost Point buoy before finishing the trek back to Higgs Beach. Swimmers can compete alone or in relays of up to 6 people, as well as the option of using fins, a monofin, or even a mermaid tail! You may even see some of the marine life the Florida Keys has to offer beneath the surface.
