Fantasy Fest is Mardi Gras meets Halloween, set in the tropical, anything-goes atmosphere of Key West. It’s wild, artistic, liberating, and unforgettable—for those ready to let loose and celebrate eccentricity without judgment. Attendees wear everything from elaborate handmade costumes to nearly nothing at all. Body paint, feathers, sequins, and glow-in-the-dark accessories are everywhere. The festival features dozens of themed parties, bar crawls, live music events, and drag shows. The biggest event is the Fantasy Fest Parade—a dazzling, high-energy spectacle with massive floats, marching bands, and outrageous characters. Though decadent and debaucherous, Fantasy Fest is also a fundraising event that benefits local charities and boosts tourism during Key West’s off-season.
