The Studios Class: Creating a Sculptural Head

Artists will work expressively and consider mark making and textural exploration as they discover the sculpture within the ceramic medium. There will be an option to work realistically or more abstracted. Students are encouraged to sketch ideas prior to class in order to talk with the instructor about possible solutions for a successful project. Our finished work will result in sculptural heads approximately 12-14” in height.

All materials and firing expenses are included. Please bring an apron, sketches/ideas, and any favorite texture tools.

Local students can pick up work after three weeks; visiting artists can have work shipped for an additional fee paid to the instructor.
